HOT DOG

What do you feel if this is your hot dog? hahahaha....

EARTH HOUR

Not many of us are aware and fully concerned in conserving the electricity. Not even half of us, I suppose, ever bother to switch off lights or electrical appliances whenever we are out. We will only switch off electrical appliances in the pretence of house burnt. Takut rugi dan hilang nyawa yet not on the purpose of saving the world. I remember going to my fiancee rented house at KL, time tu masih kawan-kawan lagi bah, and got shocked because they just left the house without switching off the TV apa lagi mau off yang lain-lain. His housemate said no need. They are lazy to keep on turning on and off the TV and the other appliances. So, I went membebel to all in the house. I don' t care if his housemates talk a damn about me. Alah, I am a friend with his housemates long before I know my fiancee, so okay lag if I membebel. Whenever I knew that they are going out, I sms them to switch off any electrical aapliances or lights. By that time sms is qute expensive oh.. RM0.50 per sms. Berkira juga tau... tapi tia pa lah. Eventually, their attitude change they start to keep on offing unnecessary appliances. So, my bebelan worth lah. Hehehe... I think, everyone should be alerted and reminded all the time on this matter. And people.. please lah.. change your attitude. Why do you want to destroy the earth Think of our future. Tak kan lah korang mau anak-anak kita jadi anak ikan berenang-renang di air sebab tiada tanah sudah. To all people... I urge all to join the EARTH HOUR 28 Mac 2009... 8.30 p.m. kasi korban dulu AF tu ah... bukan selalu.. tengok ulangan saja nanti bah..

New Hair Style

I got a new hair style today.. perm wei.. hehehe.. I bet when I come back to school loads of my friends and of course my dear students will pop me up with many questions.. apa lah. Ni I have to get ready with many answers lah nie. Have to practise during these holidays. Still, I keep on asking myself is this new hair style suit me the best. Have to decide before my big day. What I regret most is that, the barber cut my hair shorter than what I want.. sedihnya. I've been keeping my hair for a year already. Hoping to have long hair during my big day. After that, only I give myself a fresh cut. Malangnya, berkecai sudah impian ku. Ni la miscommunication with the barber. My fiancee keep on persuading me not to be sad about it because I've made a decision to perm my hair and let it be cut (but I said only a bit) so whatever happen I have to accept. Ya lah.. accept saja la nie.. (with a regretful sigh)

MARS VS VENUS

The article from INTREND magazine (March edition) makes me smile alone. Teringat kisah sendiri. Lets senyum kambing with me.

Kata orang lelaki
“Inilah rumahku syurgaku, sehinggalah the mother of queen (isteri) balik.”
Jawab orang perempuan
“Andainya pulang dengan rumah berselerak, memanglah Queen of the house marah sebab siapa pula perlu berkemas nanti?”

Kata orang lelaki
“Akulah bos di rumah, tapi nak dapat pangkat tu kena minta izin daripada Home Management. Siapa lagi keahliannya kalau bukan isteri aku?”
Jawab orang perempuan
“Secara umumnya, isteri pun hilang kebebasan selepas berkahwin. Ni, suami bercakap seperti dia saja yang tak bebas lagi. Mana adil?”

Kata orang lelaki
“Saya kahwin dah 35 tahun, tak pernah fikir mengenai hilang kebebasan.

Masing-masing perlu saling menghormati. Apa-apa perlu rujuk isteri.”
Jawab orang perempuan
“Haruslah. Berkahwin bukan hidup sendiri lagi. Missal kata yang berbaki cuma RM100, mestilah kita kena tanya pendapat pasangan juga, apa keperluan belum dibeli sebelum kita belanjakannya sesuka hati.”

Kata orang lelaki
“Ada isteri menyalahkan keluarga suami. Mereka tidak boleh setentang mata dengan mentua atau biras perempuan, mesti nak bergaduh. Saya tak faham langsung!”
Jawab orang perempuan
“Boleh berubah semua itu kalau sikap suami lebih positif dan menyokong isteri. Bukan komen atau tuduhan membabi buta tetapi lihat dan fahami keadaan ini dengan seadilnya.”

Kata orang lelaki
“Kalau dah berkeluarga, semestinya lelaki berfikir mahu menaiktarafkan kehidupan keluarga. Nak beli macam-macam untuk mereka bukan sekadar makan dan minum. Tapi ada isteri sentiasa tak cukup dengan apa yang ada, bagaimana?”
Jawab orang perempuan
“Isteri kadang-kadang bukan sekadar mahu harta benda tetapi juga kasih saying. Apalah gunanya hidup dilimpah kemewahan tetapi akhirnya ditinggal-tinggalkan jua. Betul tak?”

Kata orang lelaki
“Isteri kalau ke salun sampai dua jam. Itu paling sekejap. Walhal nasi di rumah pun belum masak.”
Jawab orang perempuan
“Mestilah, kita nak cantik! Kalau tak cantik, suami nak cari bini baru. Katanya, isteri tak in dan selekeh.”

Kata orang lelaki
“Dua-dua belah pihak akan hilang kebebasan. Bila mahu ukur siapa lebih rugi banyak, rasanya bergantung kepada hubungan dua insan dalam rumah tangga.”
Jawab orang perempuan
“Salah! Wanita lagi terikat di rumah kerana sekarang bukan soal dua insan. Anak-anak? Perasaan suami atau isteri bukan lagi jadi utama atau kedua, tetapi terletak paling akhir.”

Kata orang lelaki

Kata orang lelaki
“Suami tanggung jawabnya besar, mahu menyediakan tempat perlindungan. Kepentingan isteri lebih diutamakan daripada diri sendiri. Jadi lelakilah yang lebih pening kepala.
Jawab orang perempuan
“Isteri lebih pening kerana selepas berkahwin kena berpindah ke kediaman baru. Nak menyesuaikan diri dengan tempat baru dan orang asing, jiran baru dan sebagainya. Rasa sunyi sangat!”

Kata orang lelaki
“Cinta itu buta, perkahwinan jadikan kita celik.”
Jawab orang perempuan
“Oh, dah kahwin baru celik mata. Masa bercinta semuanya manis. Mestilah selepas berkahwin baru nampak warna sebenar. Tetapi kalau masa bercinta lagi lelaki sudah jujur, selepas berkahwin pasti kurang masalah. Betul tak suamiku?”

Hehehee… amacam?

Hope for joy

I am here invigilating Form 5 students answering their exam paper. It reminds me of my life as a student. It is reminiscence of yesteryear’s life. A life full of fun and joy. No need to think about other matters only to handle the pressure of being excellent. Sometimes, as a teacher I wonder why students these days are not that serious about their future… am I like them when I was their age? I guess not… neither am I a nerd. I play, jokes, and study at the same time. I know the latest trend (but I’m not a victim of it!), I know what’s hot on the playlists, I know the top band boy and their fav. (I try to grab for one but they didn’t even give a look at me). In fact, I knew almost everything but still I never fail in study. I am just a typical teenager with the urge to excel that’s why I strive for it. I take study seriously. Though, some will not view my achievement as a victory but I still give it a thumb up. As long as I work hard for it, then there is no regret in life. However, I am sad to see our future generation these days. Some don’t even bother what will happen to them. Some just follow the flows without making any adjustment to their life; they ended up feeling depressed and blame others. For me, whatever happened to us is our responsibility and we have to handle it and not blaming on others. And a teacher, I’m hoping for the best in my students’ future and hope they know how to balance their life between study and playing so that they would be able to answer all questions… Good luck students.

LENT- A TIME FOR DEDICATION

Each year Lent is a time for renewal. It could be renewal in the sense of abstinence both of hunger and temperament action or simply self-renewal. However, it could mean beyond that. Lent derives from a Greek word, metanoia which connotes a change of minds and heart. As we celebrate the season of Lent (to all Catholics), let us always remember the poor and the needy. Ultimately, this is spiritual renewal as well and helps us grow closer to our Lord who tells us that if we wish to love Him, we must express that love as love for the least of our brothers and sisters.

Listening to the news-locally, nationally, globally- is a beginning. Who appears to be suffering? Who seems to be tremendously burdened? Nevertheless, not all poor are in the news, but a sensitive scan of the news is a place to start. Or, without our realization, all these while those who are in need are just around us. Lend them a hand this Lent season. It could be in any form, prayers or almsgiving (could be in any form affordable). Remember that more than 800 million people who go to bed hungry each night.

According to HERALD, we tend not to think of the poor very much because to do so can render us sad or feeling “unable to cry”. But if we use a time like Lent to try to reflect upon the situation of the poor near us and around the world, then the world will help us come to know God’s special love for them. In this reflection we will discover God’s love for us because we will experience solidarity with the poor. We can become aware of how narrow our concerns are or how self-centered we have become. Reflection upon the situation of the poor will draw us closer to them, helping us understand the mystery of radical dependence on God. Ultimately, our closeness with the poor during Lent will make us more “Christ-like” for He is the one who became completely one to us.

Hence, let us dedicate ourselves to the ways that He wants us to be especially during this Lent season.

FACEBOOK IS FOR THE OLD!

I came across an article from the TIME, March 2, 2009 edition and got shocked but still smiling widely. Why? It claims that FACEBOOK IS FOR OLD PEOPLE. Does this mean that I am old since I am an avid user of Facebook? Oh No! I don’t want to be called old, use the proper word please…- mature people. Hehehehe…

Here are some of the matters discuss… Let me share with you.
Begin with the gruesome heading. Oppps... remember this is adapted from the TIME magazine not through my thought ya. Ingat ah.. Don’t get offended just take it as something to ponder.

Heading- Facebook is for old people. It was designed for college kids. But it took legions of people their parents’ age to fulfill its ultimate destiny.

Here are 10 reasons Facebook is for the old people…

1. Facebook is about finding people you’ve lost track of. And, son, we’ve lost track of more people than you’ve ever met. Remember who you went to prom with junior year? See, we don’t. We’ve gone through multiple schools, jobs and marriages. Each of those came with a complete cast of characters, most of whom we have forgotten existed. But Facebook never forgets.

My verdict : Yes, Facebook never forgets but it doesn’t mean it only suits for
old people. Who said youngerster can’t forget who their friends are easily? They do actually. That’s why they are tracking them through Facebook.

2. We’re no longer bitter about high school. You’re probably still hung up on any number of petty sights, but when that person who used to call us that thing we’re not going to mention here, because it really stuck, asks us to be friends on Facebook, we happily friend that person. Because we’re all grown up now. We’re bigger than that. Or some of us are, anyway. We’re in therapy, and it’s going really well. These are just broad generalization. Next reason.

My verdict : Sapa bah suruh waktu muda memilih kawan betul... kawan saja la bah sama sapa-sapa janji ko gumbira. Kalau durang jahat sama ko kasi tinggal lah. Kasi rusak jiwa dan raga kita saja.

3. We never get drunk at parties and get photographed holding beer bottles in suggestive positions. We wish we still did that. But we don’t.

My verdict : Not all pictures in Facebook posed the way you want others to view. Besides, holding beer doesn't really look good, do they?

4. Facebook isn’t just a social network; it’s a business network. And unlike, say, college students, we actually have jobs. What’s the point of networking with people who can’t hire you? Not that we we’d want to work with anyone your age anyway. Give the recession- and the amount of time we spend on Facebook-a bunch of hungry, motivated young guns is the last thing we need around here.

My verdict : Does Facebook help the businessmen to expan their horizon?

5. We’re lazy. We have jobs and children and houses and substances-abuse problems deal with. At our age, we don’t want to do anything. What we want is to hear about other people doing things and then jugde them for it. Which is what news feed are for.

My verdict : Ironically, this shows that you are lazy...

6. We’re old enough that pictures from grade school or summer camp look nothing like us. These days, the only way to identify us is with Facebook tags.

My verdict : I pity you guys... Anyway, the oldies won't get famous then especially when you look far more different from the wayyou were in the yesteryear. After all people will keep on comparing how you look like before and after and wonder why we grow old. So oldies, is Facebook meant or the old?

7. We have children. There is very little that old people enjoy more than forcing others to pay attention to pictures of their children. Facebook is the most efficient engine ever devised for this.

My verdict : If this is true, your children will be proud of you for posting their pictures on Facebook.

8.We’re too old to remember e-mail addresses. You have to understand: we have spend decades drinking diet soda out of aluminum cans. That stuff catches up with you. We can’t remember friends’ e-mail addresses. We can barely remember their names.

My verdict : But why is it easy for you to remember how to open the Facebook. Is there any difference?

9.We don’t understand Twitter. Literally. It makes no sense to us.

My verdict : NONE

10.We’re not cool, and we don’t care. There was a time when it was cool to be on facebook. That time has passed. Facebook now has 150 million members, and it’s fastest - demographic is 30 and up. At this point, it’s way cooler not to be on Facebook. We’ve ruined it for good, just like we’ve ruined Twilight and skateboarding. So git! And while you’re at it, you damn kids better get off our lawn too.

My verdict : What? only the old can join Facebook...?

To all friends: If you have Facebook, don't take this seriously.. This is just an opinion from a writer in the TIME. ;-)

New Month...New life...

Now it's March.. time flies so fast.. soon it's June... best juga but a bit scary. ;-) It's my BIG day. Thinking back how my fiance and I met make me smile alone just like a crazy woman. We were introduced by a friend, we started as 'just friend'... and the rest is history... Back to my title, February means a lot to me. There are lots of things happen during this month. My fiance and I register for our wedding, we went for photo shots during Valentine's day. This year, my Valentine's day is the most meaningful day for me. Though, it's a bit tiring. Indeed, the most tiring of all our Valentine. However, I enjoyed it. Hope that the pictures look great.. hehehe..mintapuji. I wish I have another great month. Can't wait for it. Oh ya, my Feng Shui claimed that this year brings a lot of beneficial matters to me, wish that it would come true. (But, should I believe entirely on Feng Shui to bring my luck?)
